Palmar and digital fasciectomy
It is said that this disease deforms the fingers in a position similar to a preacher's. The basic cause is often a genetic predisposition that can even affect other parts of the body.

Palm view, right hand
Fibrous tissue proliferating in the palm of the hand can cause a cumbersome deviation of the fingers (Dupuytren disease).
The traditional treatment remains the excision of these fascia cords (palmar and digital fasciectomy) with open hand surgery, followed by wearing an orthosis, and occupational therapy rehabilitation.
